How to become a successful artist and make a living?

Updated: Apr 12, 2022

If you’re a sensitive person don’t read this. I’m not gonna tell sweet lies. I will only tell the harsh truth. And what it really takes to succeed in music. The reason why I’m gonna be harsh is that I care a lot and I really want to help people succeed in music. So you can become the next superstar producer in the game. This is why I have to be 100% honest with you even if it doesn’t sound nice.

If your music doesn’t sound as good as chart-topping hits there are only 2 reasons.

#1 - You have the skills, knowledge and everything that’s needed but you lack execution. In other words you don’t do shit

#2 - You do something, but you’re lacking the skills and knowledge. Basically you don’t know what you’re doing and how to get the result.

So how do you make your tracks sound professional as the ones you hear in the club and on the radio?

The truth is people bullshit themselves.

I’ve heard so many fucking excuses why they can’t make music.

“I don’t have time”

“I don’t have inspiration”

“I don’t have motivation”

THIS IS BULLSHIT

Here’s the harsh truth

If you’re not consistently putting the time and effort into making music you’re not gonna make it.

Sorry if this disappoints some of you but this is how it works.

There are people who are WILLING to succeed and who are 100% dedicated to their goals

You have to compete with them. If you don’t they will outwork you. Period.

If you have all you need just start fucking doing shit.

No excuses.

Stop feeling sorry for yourself.

Discipline and consistency. This is what you need.

Every day you should work at least 1 hour on your music.

Ideally 2-3h

Let’s talk about the second reason.

It can be frustrating and discouraging if you’re consistently putting in time and effort but not getting results.

At least this is better than lying to yourself and not doing shit.

The BIGGEST mistake that people from second example make is trying to go on their own

The truth is you can’t buy your time back

So you either have to spend years on making it work

Or having someone to show you a blueprint and proven system

How much time do you have?

How painful it is to see that others are crushing it in music?

Do you really want to spend those years trying to go on your own?

And there’s no guarantee that you will learn how to do things the right way.

When I was in a similar situation I wanted to quit music.

I was feeling like I will never make it

I didn’t give up because music was the most important thing in life for me

I couldn’t see myself failing

This is the mindset that you need

Don’t stop even if it doesn’t work

I want to end this post with a quote from my student Sam who learned how to mix at a radio-ready level in just about 6-8 weeks.

He was already making music for 10+ years

But he needed that last piece of the puzzle and someone to ensure of he is doing things the right wat

“People are quick to spend money on gear and other material things that they think will make them a better musician, but for some reason when it comes to investing in their knowledge, it becomes more difficult to understand the value in what they’re buying.

The reality is the knowledge you gain in a class like this is much more valuable than any piece of gear you could buy, and will last a lot longer too”

If this resonates with you and you understand what it REALLY takes to succeed in music,

And you’re 100% dedicated and willing to put in the time and work. Beats for sale Buy beats online Rap beats
